John F. Kennedy


In 1960, JFK beat Nixon in the presidential election, meaning that JFK was now the new president. He was born on May 19, 1917 and died on November 22, 1963. John was believed to be assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Kennedy was shot twice sitting right next to his wife. His wife tried to grab his head before it flew out of the car but her attempt failed. Lee was killed two days later by Ruby so he couldn't go to trail. They just concluded that Oswald was the killer.

Before JFK died, he set out to implement a legislative agenda that became knows as the New Frontier . Kennedy achieved some victories in the economy area. By doing that, he advocated deficit spending. The government convinced Congress to invest more funds in space exploration and defense. This commitment created more jobs and stimulated economic growth. Women's rights were expanded and a he gave a new view for the disabled.
